My nephew used to have Hermit crabs and he loved them ... couldn't tell you if he still has them since my evil sister and I haven't spoken in more than two years but the little guys were darn cute. Enjoy the newest members of your family : )
I think thats a good solution the the pet thing. We did the whole crab thing for a while and I'll keep my stories to myself. I'm sure you will be a better crab parent than me anyways! ;-)
May you and the crabs live harmoniously for years to come.
I must admit, though, that the whole shell painting thing seems a little cruel. There's the paint poisoning, sure, but also the potential for some serious identity crises. I see therapy in the future for the poor little guys.
This was the most precious post!!!! "So desperate, she began collecting garden snails and decorating their habitat (a cardboard box) with a pie tin, leaves and a stuffed snail doll." - I couldn't stop laughing at this! Good post - see ya.
he wants these crabs, too? Because saying that is, for him, practically begging me to get them -- at least to me it is. I took it as another sign from God and told the pet store guy I was ready to pick out my crabs! ... if you didn't know what you were talking about, it could be scary!
Enjoyed the post, Daelyn wants a cat. I'm not a cat kind of person, and HH is allergic, I wonder if she would settle for a crab?
